**SUCCESSFUL CASE***
INBTI Instructor and K-9 Search Handler Jurij Aleksandrov and K9 Troj.
March 6, 2023
Volunteer Organization "K-9 Search" from Lithuania, received a call from the police with a request for help in finding a person who disappeared from the care home around 4pm that day. The person has mental disorders, since the morning (like other residents) he walks freely in the territory of the nursing home, nursing home is not fenced and around 4pm supervisor of the care home notices that the person gone missing and started searching on their own. The search yielded no results, the police were informed. As the evening come and the weather got colder, got windy and the air temperature dropped a few degrees below zero, the police investigator made a decision to contact our organization for help.
We quickly got ready and went to the scene. Since it was already dark, not only the tracking dogs had to work but also a drone with a thermal imager.
The Belgian shepherd Troj started in our team - together with former police canine expert Jurij Aleksandrov (INBTI instructor who has been training his dogs according to the KOCHER METHOD for many years). They followed the scent of the missing person and showed that the trail ends at a bus station several kilometers from the place of disappearance. The information was passed on to the police, and it was confirmed very quickly: the person used public transport and was found in another city, healthy and alive.
We are very happy with this successful search operation which produced great results!
Great Job by All!!
